Radiant cut diamond – Brilliance meets geometry

Radiant cut diamonds combine the best of two worlds: the classic brilliance of round and cushion-cut stones, and the modern geometry of emerald and princess-cut shapes. The result is a versatile and sparkling shape with a distinct personality.

History and characteristics

The radiant cut was developed in the 1970s by Henry Grossbard – a master at combining light optimization with clean lines. The shape is rectangular or square with beveled corners and a brilliant facet pattern that covers the entire stone.

Unlike other square shapes with step facets, the radiant has a complex brilliant cut even on the pavilion, which provides intense sparkle and fire.

Advantages of radiant cut

  • Exceptional brilliance – almost on par with round brilliants.
  • Versatile shape for both modern and classic rings.
  • Durable corners thanks to beveled design.
  • Provides visual magnification – especially in rectangular format.
